Day 4 - 6
Namunyak Wildlife Conservancy - Sarara Camp

This morning you will be transferred to the airstrip for your private charter flight to Sarara Camp departing at 10h00. On arrival you will be met by a Sarara Camp representative and transferred to the camp. Accommodation is booked for 3 nights on a full board basis.

Sarara is found within the lands of the Namunyak Wildlife Conversation Trust. An area of approximately 850,000 acres which lies folded around the southern corner of the fabled Mathews Mountain Range of northern Kenya. This is home of the proud Samburu tribes people, a group of semi-nomadic pastoralists who have long shown tolerance for the wildlife that co-exists alongside their cattle.

The conservation work carried out by the Namunyak Trust to date has been hugely successful. As a result of the severe ivory poaching crisis of the 70’s and early 80’s there were no recorded elephants remaining in the Mathews Ranges by 1985. Today, several thousand elephants are living and breeding peacefully in the southern Mathews Range area. Together with a variety of other wildlife species such as buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah, African wild dog, greater and lesser kudu, gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, impala and dik dik.

The Namunyak Wildlife Conservancy, an area of 850,000 acres of pristine wilderness in the Mathews Range. The savannah plains and lush mountain slopes are home to elephant, leopard, reticulated giraffe, wild dog and kudu in ever increasing numbers. This remote and dramatic landscape is also home to the local Samburu people whose age-old traditions, including the famed ‘singing wells’ are as much a part of the fabric of this land as the wildlife.

Day 7 - 9
Maasai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for your private charter flight departing at 08h00 to Nanyuki, here you will connect with the Safarilink scheduled flight to the Masai Mara departing at 10h00. Your driver-guide will meet you at the Mara North airstrip and transfer you to camp with game viewing en-route. Accommodation is booked for 3 nights on a full board basis.

Elephant Pepper Camp is situated in the prime core of the protected Mara North Conservancy wilderness area. In the same location for 20 years, one of the original, very small and exclusive tented camps, Elephant Pepper is located away from other lodges, in the heart of the African bush. Our spacious canvas tents are comfortably furnished, featuring ensuite bathrooms with flush toilets and traditional safari showers.
